About Edgartown
Edgartown was founded in 1671 and is located in Dukes County on Martha's Vineyard. It was the first colonial settlement in Martha's Vineyard.

Those who visit Edgartown and are interested in historical land marks visit the Vincent House which was built in 1672 and is the oldest house on the island. It is now a museum as is the Thomas Cooke House.

Another house of interest is the Dr. Daniel Fisher House which is directly next door to the Old Whaling Church. The church has now been transformed into the Performing Arts Center.

Bryan Page Wine Dinner featuring chefs Max Eagan and Dante de Magistris
We’ve enlisted some of the area’s brightest stars to enhance your epicurean experience at Isola, a newly opened upscale classic Italian restaurant in Edgartown.  Isola chef Max Eagan and Boston chef and co-owner Dante de Magistris of the eponymous restaurant dante will lead an evening featuring a New American menu of “global comfort food” using the best local ingredients.  Chef Eagan, an avid fisherman, is all about locally produced and caught food.  At restaurant dante, de Magistris has flawlessly established his culinary paradiso as one of the premier dining destinations in Boston.
Winemaker “superstar” Bryan Page, is famous for his WineMaker dinners.  Bryan's Page Wine Cellars and Revolver Wine Company are two of the most talked about 'rogue' wineries in Napa.  We should also say that his red wines are excellent candidates for long term proper aging.  All of Page’s wines are unfined and unfiltered for maximum color and flavor.  While many producers have automated to some extent the in-winery processes, not so with Page Wine Cellars.  Everything is very much done by hand at the winery – literally, even most of the bottling.  The winemaker himself is coming with his incredible wines for a dinner to remember!?

Seminar: Farm to Plate
The trend for fresh food is contagious.  There is nothing hotter in the food world than farm to plate dining - it’s dynamic and organic.  Join chefs Jan Buhrman of The Kitchen Porch and Jeremy Davis of The Port Hunter for this interactive culinary experience in a casual setting at Edgartown’s popular restaurant, offering locally-sourced seafood, The Port Hunter.  Chefs will discuss the challenges and rewards of presenting a farm to plate menu created specially for this seminar.  Chefs Buhrman and Davis will use fresh, seasonal farm ingredients from Slip Away Farm, The Allen Farm and Mermaid Farm and Dairy paired with biodynamic organic wines.
Farmer and owner, Lily Walter will give you an in-depth look at Slip Away Farm, a small farm on a little island called Chappaquiddick, 574-feet from Martha’s Vineyard.  Slip Away Farm is a collective endeavor of historic preservation and community culture as Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank bought it in partnership with the Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust.  Learn about the farm's dynamic farming practices and methods of sourcing ingredients, complete with a wine and food tasting experience prepared by chefs Buhrman and Davis.  This is the perfect setting to learn about some unique agricultural products grown and produced right here on Martha’s Vineyard by those who have dedicated their lives to food and farming.
Thank you to our Island farms for their support of this seminar: Slip Away Farm, The Allen Farm and Mermaid Farm and Dairy.
